Stephanie Burks, Vice Chair

Stephanie Burks is the Co-Founder and Executive Vice-President of Corporate and Community Affairs at RYCARS Construction, LLC, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s vision. Founded in 2002 from a home office, RYCARS name serves as an acronym for her loved ones—an enduring legacy for future generations.

In her dual role, Stephanie oversees the Accounting and Human Resources departments and manages various administrative functions. She is passionate about mentoring a talented team of professionals and nurturing their development within the construction industry.

Stephanie also engages in RYCARS’ daily operations, contributing to the company’s impressive track record of over $400 million in commercial roofing projects. Their portfolio spans diverse sectors, including healthcare, multi-family housing, hotels, water treatment facilities, and military installations.

Under her leadership, RYCARS has received significant accolades, including recognition in Black Enterprise’s 40th Special Anniversary Edition as one of the Nation’s Largest Top 100 Businesses. The company was featured in New Orleans Magazine in May 2020 as a leader in commercial roofing and earned The Times Picayune’s Top Workplaces honor in 2021. RYCARS operates across Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, and Florida.

Stephanie is deeply committed to community engagement and social responsibility, with RYCARS contributing over $800,000 in scholarships, donations, and volunteer hours to local initiatives.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is active in her community as a member of the Crescent City (LA) Chapter of Links, Incorporated, and serves on the boards of NOBA, WYES, Dress for Success, and NOMA. Stephanie is part of the UNCF Leadership Committee and was recognized as one of New Orleans Women of Fashion in 2016, as well as the Grand Diva of FestiGals in 2018. In 2015, she received the Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame award by Louisiana Women in Government and Business at Nicholls State University and has chaired numerous nonprofit events in the New Orleans area.

Stephanie is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan Burks, and they are proud parents to three children: Arielle, Ryan II, and Caleb.
